The previous topic that i have learnt in my Language Arts class is plagiarism. I have learnt that plagiarism is an illegal way to copy another's original idea and work, yet still many people chose to commit it. A plagiarist faces heavy fines and may sentence to jail. Some people commit plagiarism intentionally because they think it is fun or maybe because they think people cannot catch them plagiarizing. Some do it to quick-fix researches, some commit the crime accidentally by paraphrasing or does not quote facts. I think that we should not plagiarize as I think that this is the same as stealing. We be fair to the original author as it is their hard work. We should come up with our own ideas before making reference. If we want to use other people's ideas, we must cite its source. Some people may not know when to cite a source, so I feel that the best way is when in doubt, cite sources or just come up with our own ideas. By citing sources, one would make his idea more original as his idea is distinguished from those of his sources. So, I hope all of us would not plagiarize and think of ideas using our own abilities!!!
